The electrochemical study of HCOOH and CO2 on a chemically modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is reported here. The GCE was chemically modified by anchoring a metal porphyrin (Fe(III)-meso-tetrafenilporphyrin) through its metal centre, aiming to gain a deeper sight into the mechanism of the CO2 electrochemical reduction, assisted by this kind of macrocycles.
